Jumia has just announced an exciting development for internet users in Kenya – Starlink’s Satellite internet services are now up for grabs on their online marketplace.

This collaboration between Jumia and Starlink is poised to revolutionize digital connectivity, especially in areas where internet access is lacking.

Since July 2023, Starlink has been shipping its services to customers in Kenya. Initially, users faced steep costs, including KES 89,000 for hardware, KES 3,100 for shipping, and a monthly subscription of KES 6,500.

But now, thanks to Jumia, the Starlink Residential Kit is available at a discounted rate of KES 39,500, aiming to make this technology more accessible to a wider audience.

Starlink has been promoting a significant 55% discount on Kenyan social media platforms, valid until mid-May. However, it’s uncertain if the discounted pricing on Jumia will extend beyond that.
